4th of July Reunion Time !

With the 4th of July knocking at our door, it can only mean one thing....Family reunion time !!!

With that being said, I'm really conflicted as to what to take this year in the way of goodies. I won't have time to bake up a cake. I'm a little bummed because I had a super cute idea for a "family" cake. I've decided to skip any baking and look for any make-ahead dishes. I think I've settled on a few dips, but I'd like to hear your thoughts. Any awesome dip suggestions would be great !!!

Let's not forget about our homemade ice cream. We'll be headed to the reunion armed with our white Chocolate Matcha Ice Cream mixed up and ready to freeze ! I can't wait for that ! Or, maybe I can....it may taste terrible ! Who knows ! I do know one thing...we are going to have a blast at the reunion. I look forward to spending a weekend with distant family and catching up. It's always loads of fun. We will have a silent auction and for the 3rd year running, we are having a white elephant gift exchange. I picked up a few ultra cute items at the Dollar General, where everything is NOT a dollar, and I hope I can end up with them ! (sneaky, huh).

On another note. I'm loving the retro items found on http://www.unique-vintage.com/ I do not love the prices, but hello ! Love the stuff ! My birthday is right around the corner.....

I'm with you... I don't have time to make a cake, but want to bring something. Sure don't know what to bring!

Thanks for commenting today. I'm so proud of her!

A fun and easy dip that always seems to be a hit at our BBQ's:

1 package of taco seasoning
1 container of sour cream (1 lb)

Mix together and let sit over night.

We serve it with sliced pepper (green/red/yellow) strips and blue corn tortilla chips to dip.
